(SPEC), Mr. Saman Parsi, PE, presents over 20 years in electrical engineering design, analysis, and consulting. With the pioneering developments of energy efficient and sustainable designs rapidly strengthening in the building industry, Mr. Parsi has developed a strong focus on innovative electrical design standards to reduce energy consumption, generate new energy sources, and expand progressive green building systems revolution. As an active forerunner in this field, Mr. Parsi has committed SPEC to the continued success, specifically, with lighting and lighting controls infrastructure design, Zero Net Energy (ZNE), smart building design, energy management systems (EMS), leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED), living building challenge (exceeds LEED Platinum), energy modeling, and much more. Mr. Parsi has participated in multiple seminars, coursework, and summits associated with lighting modernization, lighting control systems, internet of things (IoT) lighting sensors, cloud based IoT lighting control network, photovoltaic (PV) systems, green schools and community colleges, zero net energy, and more.

Leading Citra Tech is Mr. Rajul Patel, as the CEO of Citra where he has developed a unique business model based on his over 20 years of experience on Engineering and Business fundamentals. Mr. Patel began his career in the Automotive Engineering industry with Ford Motor Company’s Climate Control Division as a Product Design Engineer with a focus on the product design and then proceeded to General Motors (GM) as a Program Manager for the GMT800 Truck Program, one of the largest programs in GM’s history. Mr. Patel then transitioned his career into the hospitality industry by building a hotel from the ground up. The hotel has been a great success—19 years running. As an energy efficiency enthusiast, his focus expanded to energy cost reduction for the hospitality industry and started down a path of exploring all the options available in the marketplace. In doing so, he has identified areas of opportunities where the market was either underserved and/or not being serviced in an optimal way for the client. Mr. Patel elected to develop a lighting business, which has a focus on engineered solutions based on lighting design principles rather than “just selling” products. In this way, the client is better served.
